Release Notes Version 2.2

New features in version 2.2

  • The primary keys of a Table can now be configured manually in the Database Wizard.

  • Q-up is available as pure 64 bit application.   

  • Running Q-up on Windows 10 has been improved.   

  • The WriteFile, WriteLines and WriteCSVFile functions allow toggling the Byte Order Mark (BOM) now.

  • The names of variables are now always displayed in the notation that was found when the variable was defined.

  • The AutoLoader is now also running on Linux systems to a limited extent. The database connections are not available. It requires dotNET Core 2 and only these functionalities are available.

  • The IBM WebSphere MQ functions are now available for 64 bit.   

  • The AutoLoader is a full console application and does not show a graphical user interface  anymore.

Bug Fixes Version 2.2

  • The incomprehensible message after closing the license dialog with “End” does not appear anymore.

  • The command “Create Data (Start Tast)” is not visible anymore if no start task is set.

  • The command “Create Data (Current Task)” is only available when a task is selected.

  • The hint that the project was created by an older version after a sample project is opened is not shown anymore because the sample projects are updated to the newest version of Q-up.

  • The rounding issue in the sample project “Cash Journals” is fixed.   

  • Moving a template folder into another location wont make it lose its correct template references anymore.

  • An order generated by the database wizard now contains the description: “Modifies data in your database.”

  • The variables of a task or a Project are now correctly opened on double clicking on an error in the error list.

  • If Q-up starts the first time and the screen has a high resolution, the default icon size is now 32*32 Pixels instead of 16*16 Pixels.

  • The license information of 3rd party software in the About dialog is updated to comply license legislation.

  • The command “Wizards / More…” leads to the correct Website now.   

  • The date of the copyright information is updated to 2018.   

  • Loading and saving the configurations of Databases with many tables in the Database Wizard is less time consuming now.

  • The layout of the license dialog is updated to comply with Q-up Studio.   

  • The “Out of Memory” error does no longer appear when an element of a large multi-dimensional arrays is accessed for reading.

  • The links on the startpage now point to the correct websites.   

  • If a new task was created, renamed and marked as start task, this task was not highlighted in bold. This bug has been fixed.

  • An error that occured while using the DBQuote function with NULL values has been fixed, the manual entry has been updated.

  • The functions AlienateEmail() and CreateNameEmail() now handle special characters (such as umlauts) to get emails to only contain the letters from the english alphabet. This is to prevent invalid emails for systems that do not support UTF 8.

  • Synthetic location data is provided with valid house numbers now.   

  • A data pool with about 300,000 valid german addresses is now available. If you need this, you can request the large pool.

  • The tooltip for “suppressing warnings for zero frames” is now also in german available.

  • A tool tip for the “Start Task” selector in the project properties’ page “Behavior” is added.

  • Changing the “Concurrent” setting of a task loop is now correctly recognized.    

  • A typo in the trial version popup was fixed.   

  • German country names in the data pool improved. Unnecessary articles fom country names removed.

  • Some Functions where missed in the index of the help file and the manual. This was fixed.

  • Adresses for synthesization and for alienation can now be filtered by countries.

  • CreateNameSurname() does provide a filter on culture now.   

  • CreateLocationCountry() has now an optional parameter for setting the culture. Default is EN.

  • The syntax in the Update-Statement for DB2 was corrected.   

  • The redundant quotation mark in the template “Real conditional” of the tutorial “Structure” is removed.

  • ProvideCurrencyData() now provides valid data for CreateCurrencyCountry(), CreateCurrencyISO() and CreateCurrencyName().

  • Using the database wizard for DB2, “Sequence of values” and “Randomly chosen value” now work for columns of string types.
